Raising Glasses (and Flipping Cups!) to Fight MS at Flip Cup 4

ms fundraiserAt Unite Fitness, we like to support our Philadelphia community in fun, social ways that leave a lasting impact… Like playing beer games.

Yes, really.

We’re proud to be a sponsor of the 4th Annual Charity Flip Cup Tournament, the biggest—and most fun—event of its kind in Philadelphia. We’ve been a sponsor for as long as our good friends at ChatterBlast Media have hosted the event, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our Heart.Muscle.Mind lifestyle philosophy drives just about everything we do, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t enjoy some outrageous fun every now and then.  A healthy life and diet are all about moderation.

The tournament benefits the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which is why we’re so passionate about being involved with the event. MS is a hard-to-predict, often debilitating disease that disrupts the flow information between the brain and other parts of the body. As physically active, exercise-loving people, it’s easy to take our mobility and athletic abilities for granted. For people affected by MS, simple movements and motions are no longer a given part of daily life, they become a struggle.

In addition to supporting the MS Society, our sponsorship of Flip Cup 4 benefits Stonewall Sports, a nonprofit community sports organization dedicated to providing safe spaces for LGBTQIA Philadelphians to play intramural sports and maintain healthy, active lifestyles. Few things are more important to us at Unite than personal fitness and the LGBTQIA community, so the ability to support both things while having a blast (and flipping some cups) is a privilege and a joy.

Although spots to participate in the wildly popular tournament have already sold out, you can come support the cause and enjoy the festive atmosphere by buying a spectator ticket at the Field House door on Friday, April 21.
